• Two to four hives of honey bees on your own property

• Four pounds of honey per hive, delivered inside autumn. We separate harvests by area, and barring strange hive issues will supply honey from your own lawn. We could bottle this either in four 1# containers, or 12 smaller containers, perfect for gift providing.

2016 prices:

• For just two hives: $500. This helps protect the expense (bookkeeping for yearly depletion) of this bees and the wooden hives; plus tools, time, and insurance. A percentage additionally addresses related costs for hives in neighborhood spaces and free courses for youth. Note: two hives is the minimum hosting set up, $500 covers both hives.
• For three or four hives: $675 (three hives) or $900 (four hives). Note: four hives could be the optimum for Seattle City ordinance.

What you have:

• Personal hive tour and examination at our community apiaries.
• Four pounds of honey, at the end of the summertime. We can bottle this either in four 1# jars, or 12 smaller jars, perfect for present giving.
• Understanding that you’re helping help our neighborhood education system, specially among youth. Your contribution assists cover the working fees associated with the community hives and absolutely nothing much more: i.e. there’s no profit to these hives aside from charitable and educational results.
• New this current year! Invitations to our tri-quarterly open-house (three each year) where you are able to have a hands-on experience inspecting hives, creating woodenware, extracting or bottling honey.

• Hives: we work honey bee hives to optimize beneficial impact to the surrounding ecology of nature (including people!). We can also advise on proper habitats to support honey bees and crazy bees.
• Education: we are able to develop a personalized academic program to incorporate with your curriculum or any other objectives.
• Large-scale solutions: We seek lovers inside better Seattle area who are interested in hosting bees and creating pollinator habitat.

Timeline

Installments happen in April, and require a one-year hosting agreement. Billing is quarterly after 25% down.
